Noel described Betty as a fantastic lady with a special game at the start of round four. £50 and £15,000 were found early on but £250,000 provided the sting in the tail. “It’s gone but your game hasn’t” - Noel said. The Banker proved he wasn’t a nice man offering a measly £3,000. Olga’s encouragement convinced Betty to NO DEAL.

£1,000, £750 and £50 were wiped from the board in a fantastic fifth round. Betty - who plays bingo as well - was three steps closer to life changing money. The Banker wanted to get Betty out of the chair with an offer of £9,000. “Got to think positive and think big” said Betty. The Banker rang back and increased the offer to £11,000. Betty strongly said NO DEAL. Missing the £100,000 was the aim of round 6 and Betty achieved it hitting 10p, £100 and £35,000. With only £10 and £100,000 left everyone anticipated The Banker’s ring. His final offer was £19,500. Betty felt that the offer was too low and with one of the biggest swings on Deal or No Deal she took an incredibly brave gamble - NO DEAL.

After declining the swap, Betty muttered “what have I done?” and the whole room waited with baited breath to see if she’d beaten The Banker. Noel lifted the lid to reveal the £100,000 to a surprised and stunned Betty. In a highly emotional game even Noel shed a little tear and everyone shared the joy of Deal or No Deal biggest win of 2008 so far.
